LDN Mental Block is a new typeface by Geoff Waring who was design director for Vogue, launch creative director of both Glamour and Red magazines, and creative director of Elle. 

 

It’s a two-tone treat, a decorative all caps headline face in two styles, Linear & Plain.

Geoff Waring is The London Type Foundry’s third guest designer.

Geoff says “I wanted something that could be used as a design tool as well as a font that you can read. The letters become graphic shapes in themselves, and because they are a sort of stencil you can colour the different elements of the single characters.”

“I'm always interested in simplifying things down to their barest essentials... squares, rectangles, triangles, lines and circles... as minimal as possible without losing the legibility”, says Geoff.
